damm that looks nice ^ mine has all little bits of blackshit that didnt come off with the heat, so yeah its all ugly lol
heat gun and scraper is by far the best method
this method doesnt dent, scratch the paint as much as the hammer and chisel.
use kero, degreaser to remove the residue
heres a few pics of mine, freshly painted
id definately reccomend repainting
looks so shit other wise
im thinking about putting some chequereplate or something in the footwell

what i did was put some kero in a spray bottle then spray on and let it soak for a while
then wipe away
there is some brown stuff near the joints
just paint over it all
yep.........painted mine with green/aqua hammertone............looks quite good.................although Im gona put carpet back in down the track.......
Get a tin of prep wash (wax / grease remover) from supercheap and wipe over the left over sound deadening with a rag, it will get it off..

its a fun exercise let me tell you
Im doing this at the moment, but might be leaving the front footwells in. mostly because I CBF
It's fun . Will the kero effect the paint at all? Im at the cleanup stage now.
kero will clean up all the gunk thats left.
will leave the surface nice and clean for painting.
do the front footwell's that part weighs the most
