Hey... i just wanna share some experiences with whoever's interested in high performance brake pads for AE86's... As most hachi drivers would agree, our cars are not pretty posers but are usually driven on or over the limit. there fore havin good brakes is very important!

I've used several different pads including Bendix metal kings, ultimate, Lucas, Endless SS-M and lastly my current pad Race Brakes RB74.

To keep a long story short, BUY the RB74... Awesome bite, huge fade resistence and not that expensive either... $180 per axle

This is the only pad that hasn't faded on me after 4 * 5 lap sessions of the Clubman Circuit at QR, anyone thats been on that track would know that theres 2 pretty big braking zones and most street cars' brakes would suffer BIG time if pushed hard for 5 laps... All the pads mentioned above did...except for the RB 74's.... i did get some fade towards the end of the day but the pad was still consistent and very predictable... the pedal never came close to the floor.

    Highly Recommanded!!!

Remember...use good brake fluid... i'm using endless RF650, but i've heard motul 5.1 is also very good...

    Happy Dorifting/Thrashing/Racing People!!

hahahaha just stirring shit, but sometimes there is a bit of a mentality of who needs brakes when you are takumi lol!! hahahahaha, endless pads shit, well that prolly would of been jack aka funkdoc (first post dude) he paid $970!!!!!!!!!!11111111 only to have them delaminate or something...

ill be buying some rb74 at some stage,

jack on another note, you should look into top secret pads they are supposed to be ok, 0-750 is like 200 aud...

RB74's are rated to 750 degree C too.... i personally dont beleive too much about the temp rating stuff.... just like any other rating... unless its all on the same scale it doesnt mean much... plus... they all give different coe of friction anyways so its not accurate at all.... ie a pad with huge coe of friction of .50 when fading can still produce .35.... and thats still more bite than some pads at their peak performance....

Lucas is rated 650 degrees... but it certainly didnt feel like it....

It was me with the delaminating endless pads.... they gave me back $870 of $970 so i'm not gonna say anymore about their products.... i'll just keep my mouth shut... plus i'm happy with my rb74's...

Are you just using standard adm calipers and discs or jdm vented discs and calipers. Also is there an easy front brake upgrade you have heard of, that doesn't involve too much $$
