oh shit. the stud pattern is a multifit.
4/100 - 4/114
will they even fit? (sprinters are 4/114.3 arnt they?) or is 4/114 the same as 4/114.3
cheers
Hypethetical question as I dont understand offsets properly.
possibly putting some 17x7" rims on my 86.
with an offset of 40 (+ Im assuming)
How will these sit in regards to the guards.
ie: I want them flush with the guardline (not sticking out) will I need spacers?
(Im guessing I will)
and will the wheel studs be long enough?
(at the moment I have 16x8" rims (dont know the offset) but they are almost flush with the guardline.
If you can answer this then your a champion.
cheers

im hopeless with offsets to, but i think you will need spacers for them and for the wheels to be flush with the guards mabye a offset of 0-11?
they wont fit as far as i know
I have +20 6.5 they rub a tad
0 offset on a 7 inch rim will sit flush with the outer gaurd edge. those rims will sit 40mm in from the gaurd if they go on at all.
ok, so if they do fit: then 40mm spacers will be needed, right? (for flushness)
after that then the studs probably wouldnt be long enough hey..
also, can someone explain offset's how you work em out and what it exactly means... I have a basic idea but not clear.
cheers
the offset is measured from the centre line of the rim to the face where it sits on the hub. positive is out negative is in.
Why hesitate when you can accelerate???

oh yeh, I forgot about my friend google, easy as pie. offsets are basic shit i have realised.
only question I have left is with regards to the stud pattern? and the length of the studs?
what is the sprinter's 4/114.3 ?
and is this the same as 4/114 (thought they might be lazy and could have left out the .3)
yeah, +40 wont fit. dont even bother buying them in my opinion. a bolt on spacer that is 40mm wide for each wheel is not cost effective. may as well buy wheels that will fit.
i think they would be 114.3
there is no reason why your studs wont be long enough unless you use slide on spacers. if you are going to space out a wheel more than 10mm use a bolt on spacer. they come with their own studs so you can still put the wheel on.
hope that helps somewhat
