Apparently my carby is officially stuffed. I've been told that a carburettor from an XF Falcon will bolt in but that I might need to get bigger jets, possibly from a 2 litre Escort.

Has anyone done something like this or know if it will just bolt in or what needs to be done?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

In my opinion it would be easiest to just source another carby the same, 4A-C's are a dime a dozen around the place, people throw them away, keep your eyes out and i'm sure one will show up.

If you do go changing carbys you will have too look at other things like adapting your accelerator cable, linkage/throttle clearances / size of jets / aftermarket air filter etc. a lot of mucking around..
Why hesitate when you can accelerate???
