replace the parts, no way around it and a new rack won't help you unless your old ones shagged too.
Well I just recently took my car into a workshop to get it generally checked out, and the main problem areas were coming from the steering side of things.
I was told that the 'Front wheel bearing' was needed to be replaced and that the 'Steering rack ends' also needed to be replaced.
I'm coming to you guys to try and find out if you know anything bout it (sure you do )
I was considering buying a rack of old mate from AJPS and am unsure if it would fix my problems with the 'Front wheel bearing' and the 'Steering rack ends', as noted above.
Correct me if im wrong, I don't have much mechanical knowledge which is why you guys are here I spose.
Sorry if its a stupid question
Cheers

hahahaha, no worries mate! my rack is second hand but sound
i can fully recondition your rack if you like or i can supply individual parts as u need them...
i have rack ends, tie rods ends, rack boots and balls joints all in stock
it will most likely be rack ends as you said or tie rod ends
pm me for more info
Cheers for clearing that up
Davo, will PM you soonish bout some prices
parts will cost you very little, get them new from any auto shop. id say around $10 each for the tie rod ends, and around $20 for the wheel bearing, i know the tie rods are around that, but never bought a wheel bearing before, but wont be much.
considering the fact you didnt even know what they are, you'll be paying more for labour than parts.
chris where are you getting your tierods from $10 is cheap as!! i paid $25 ea for mine and thats at trade price.
got them from edgeworth auto pro, was like $40 for rack ends, tie rod ends, and rack boots....
Thats crazy ! For my sprinter I shopped around and the cheapest pair of rack ends I found were about $80 or somthing with boots.
And the boots were about $12 each.
