yeah but they can get that sound with a 2.5-3" na with different length/design resonators
my old SSS can cams and i ran a 2.5" and it was no louder than the previous 21/4" press bent i ran originally. Also went in another SSS with a built sr20ve and it had a 3" exhaust and it was quiter than mine. I know that this is on an sr20de but still 4cylinder 2L

Well im stuck with the 2" for now which im happy with.
Ill change it all when i turn towards the turbo setup.

2" is more then enough and sounds great is what im hearing?...
going to be calling around in a few mins to get qoutes for exhaust system...
im thinking 2" all the way with Cat, muffler and some nice simple tip..what else am i missing?...im after quiet exhaust system more then anything

Not cheap, although an Apexi cat could take up ~400-500 of that, in that case it would be cheap.
Go 2 1/4" if you can too.
well there a VERY big difference between a beams 3sge and a adm celica 3sge!
Maybe it would be sensible to mention your dyno reading is from a beams

My bigport made 81kw's.... conservative tune, base/stock ignition timing, cams still set @ 0, 8000 limiter, motor was breathing a lot of oil and blowing smoke.Tuner said car was revving real nice, still making some power @ 8000.
This is the engine...
16V bigport 4age, balanced bottom end, ARP Rod bolts
Slight head porting, double valve springs, TRD 0.8mm head gasket
20v silver quad throttles with 75mm trumpets on T3 adapter plate
TODA 288 8.5mm lift cams in/ex with HKS adjustable cam gears, HKS timing belt
ADAPTRONIC ECU with 20V CAS and Denzo individual coils
Walbro fuel pump, SARD Adj. Fuel pressure regulator, 4AGZE injectors
TRD extractors with 2.5 inch exhaust, JRT oval muffler and Titanium cannon
Being re-ringed at the start of next month, nothing serious, just a freshen up, and making a new exhaust ATM, using a JRT oval muffler and a cannon on the back to shut it up a bit so i can do some street driving. Im pretty happy with how it goes atm, pretty useless under 4000, but after that it goes fair hard.
Any ideas what It could make with more timing would in, cams set properly, fresh engine etc... Id be happy to make 90+. If not, there's always a 50hp shot of nos...

16v bigport made 110.7hp/ 82.5 kw atw with hks 256 cams rsr extractors with hks hipower cat back k&n filter and freedom ecu unsure how its tuned but out of the 3 tunes on there that was the highest
