getting rid of the sunroof, any suggestion?

I'm thinking of getting rid of my sunroof, any suggestion on how to do it? is it possible? anyone done that?

i know that you will need to remove the 2 support bars attatched to the roof to actually hold the sunroof in position. you also need a new roof lining (obviously) as for removal your best bet would be to just pull of your roof lining and have a look for yaself and see what is under there

after u get it out, you can sell it to me cause iw ant a sunroof

after I take the sunroof out, what should I put to fill the hole?? a piece of steel? should look sucks I'm afriad. should I get a sunroof panel and weld that in there and fill with body filler??????????

Sprinter_Seth if you can take my sunroof out of my car and seal it with something you can have my sunroof plus roof lining for free..

just weld a metal sheet and body fill it smooth. and for the inside just use the lining from a non sunroof model.

i hav seen a pic of someone sealing their sunroof with a give way sign or something! it was funny but effective....

yeah use a street sign and dont put a roof lining in get to look at that street sign ewverywhere u go. it would have to be one of those drift ahead signs though

Hyuga: ha ha! yeah, that'd be funny! i'd cut a hole in my roof to put your sun roof in and give the bit i cut out to you! ha ha!!

but i seriousley doubt i'll do, it was just an eoi... but if i could do it well so it didn't leak OR rust away, i'll probably do it in 6 months or so
