    Default SARD pressure setting

Calling out to the guys who are running a Sard fuel pressure reg on their 4AGTE. Just wondering what the pressure setting should be set at to safely drive around before tuning. Cheers

The standard 4A-GE, and most cars, probably run at about 40psi. Not exactly sure maybe 38psi, but close to that. So if you just put the different regulator on, you would adjust it to that same pressure. Any different, and the motor won't run right and could do damage.

i assume you have some sort of aftermarket ecu jobby?

if so it depends on how your ecu is setup, and how much fuel its giving it, and how much fuel pressure it expects.

if you are able to aquire a ecu map and you should be able to figure out/be told what fuel pressure it is designed for.

worst come to worse...start high (50psi or something) and just keep dropping it till it runs good enough to get it to where you need to.

btw stocko 4age spec in the manual sais 35psi or so. so thats a good place to start. but yer if your running an aftermarket ecu its not really much use if its setup differently.

yeah as johnny said. about 37 psi if vac is connected and its idling. 40-42 if you dont have the vac hose connected. but if youre trying to squeeze life out of undersized injectors or something you'll want to go 5-10 higher before tuning.

Have 440cc injectors in there and have Emanage ECU ready to be hooked up. When it was idling it was so rich it filled the shed with black smoke. I just need to drive it to the shop to get ECU put in.

I'll start at 40 psi. Cheers guys
