go to the wreckers and pull out wiring out of another tank. i used vl intank wiring.
The insulated coat on standard wiring will degrade over time in petrol.
hope this helps!
what wires can i use for my intank lifter pump
hey man got calvin to get me some outta a VL so all good
I don't know much about this, but 1st year Chemistry knowledge would help a lot. It is basically about what plastic the insulation is made of.
Cheap general use automotive wire is PCV, polyvinyl chloride. I am told this is not good enough for high heat or solvents, good for 85 degrees.
Next one better is crosslinked polyethylene, or SXL etc, which has a much higher heat resistance 120 degrees, and resistance to solvents. Not sure if it's good enough for fuel or not.
Best would be telfon or ETFE? Or Rilsan® Polyamide 11 & 12? I know very little about this. But best go to a auto electricial place rather than a general store, and ask them for different types.
