Today i acquired a twin-carburettor setup from my brother.
He claims its off a ae86 from Japan. Ive researched with little luck.

So i was wondering if this is for a 4age or 4ac?
I dont think 4ac was realease in Jap, am i right?.
And would this provide any gain in on either 4age or 4ac?.

The throttle cable position seems different to the standard 4ac aswell.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i can tell you now thats not off a 4A of any kind..definitly know it's not a 4age..and a 4AC is a non cross flow engine, so the inlet looks similar to an 18RC

IeeIIeeI (I = inlet, e = exhaust port) and the fact that it has a coolant port between 2 of them..maybe it was off a 2T Levin? the older shape TE corolla, they have a single cam 1.6 cross flow that looks very similar to that..

hope this helps..maybe a trip down to repco, and ask to see some inlet manifold gasket pics for 70's and 80's toyota 4 cylinders..?

thats what it would be off!! a 2T-B levin... toyota made a limited run of 2T motors with twin down draft Nikki carbs.. all factory..they were fitted to the Levins that were just under the GT grade which scored the 2TG (just imagine a 4AGE, only with 8 valves, and internals that resemble a diesel)

I am 100% sure it's not off a 4A of any kind..maybe when your bro bought it someone said something about a Levin..and everyone knows Levin as an AE86..but truth is they have been around since the corolla was first made in the early 70's.. it's a 2TB twin carb setup for a 2TC engine..you could fetch a pretty penny for that on Toymods if you sell it! Enthusiasts will want something that rare!
