also, that clearance issue with vary with camber settings. its pretty common with any brake upgrade on an 86. theres not a lot of space to play with.
Hey guys,
I have just got my AJPS caliper adapters and was curious as to if other people have had the same issues I have had to see if this is normal or if my car is a freak. Firstly the EG disc was lightly touching my lower control arm and needed to be belted to make enough clearance to allow it to spin free. Also my brake lines have a completly different thread so they can't be used with the FC caliper.
Cheers, ben

yeah one side of mine just touched LCA other side was ok, but just dremmeled both. Got tubular LCA's now so not even an issue. No problems with line fittings, but I had braided lines? I used FD calipers and the shape is different around the pistons which ran against the hub, again dremmel cleared up.

After much dicking around and finding that the passenger brake line fits and the drivers side doesn't I have come to the conclusion that at some stage my drivers caliper has been threaded and a new thread tapped into it at some stage with a new line to suit.
I have just put another brake line in and all is perfect, They really are a good upgrade, will let you know how they cope after some spirited driving tonight.
Thanks Dave
and let me know what master cyl you use, and how it feels.
Another good generic master cylinder to use, is from a Mitsubishi HH Galant VR4, 1991. It is 1". Very simple in design, just what you need.
i have FC brakes on my car with the mini rotors, i found it fine with the stock master when its bled up properly
yeh i have fc brakes cant seem to get the fuckers to bleed but!!
Using good fluid and decent pads and the pedal feel is OK with std master.
I'm going to flog off the booster and use a 1" MC down the track.

Warning: No booster + 1" is going to make the pedal very hard. I would surgest keeping the stock 13/16" MC for no booster.
I heart hard pedal noted by 1" ~ 15/16 is ok for my application.
