Well, it all starts tomorrow, as most of the driveline will be payed, and im fuckin pumped. Big thanks to beau from westside, aswell as my boss Paul of pulse racing, for giving me a hand to get all these parts.

    So whats the plan?

Well first we need to set the tone.

Two engines will be built. The first which we are calling stage 1, which we are hoping for around the 190hp atw mark, and the second which is due at the end of the year, will be where we crack the 200+hp atw mark. The second will see alot of development, hence the reason why we are seeing just what is capable with the first mild motor.

The Car is being built as a club car, with the ability to compete in time attack events, such as superlap, sure my piddly 150kw won't get me tooo far, especially against some of the cars that will be debut in the next yr or two. But it is worth a try. I will make a point now in saying the is a race car, not a registered street car.

    Current parts list.

    ADM Ae86 sprinter (Rolling shell)
1 complete BT 20v built bottom end
1 complete 20v head (ported, polished, cams)
    1 spare 7 rib block
    1 spare 20v head
1 knife edged bt 20v crank
    1 set of 4 atlantic/carrillo rods
1 set of 47mm TOMS throttles
    1 set of custom extractmores
    1 electric water pump
    1 TRD ceramic clutch
1 OS Giken twin plate clutch
1 T50 G-box (will be fitted with a new gearset at some stage)
1 Alloy radiator, and over flow
    1 oil cooler
    2 catch tanks
    1 autronic sm4
    1 t seires (i need a tailshaft)
Supertech 13mm valves, springs and retainers
and a few other goodies that I can't remember at present.

So there is still alot of work to do, and alot of money to spend. Suspension needs to be sorted out, this will be done once the car is driving, and also alot of bodywork needs to be carried out, including paint and rust repairs, removal of unwanted metal, engine bay smoothing, roll cage etc etc.

So anyway, heres a few pics of how it started out, and how I ruind fairly cool car with my bullshit behaviour, then the parting out due to a lack of a job. Ah enough talking i think this is getting quite long lol.

Ignore the TRP sticker, these are old pics.

Thank god, I don't havt to do that this time lol.

Well that how the car looked at the start of 2008, I'll get some pics of the current state, once i find something that will take a decent pic.

Cheers guys, hope you all enjoy my little adventure

I now have a 86 full of engine parts, which is pretty cool, well i think so anyway, I have everything to get started, minus a headgasket and the cdi for the sm4, so hopefully it will be running with the mild motor in a few months.

Also buying a new camera tomorrow to take some pics, since my n95 is dead, fuckin nokia.

This thing is gonna be crazy. Very different to when i was going to buy it, back when it was full granny-spec. Good luck with the build.

By the way, what happened to the VQ45DET(?) plan? Thought you were planning on building this into a drag car at one stage

I've grown up alot in the past year, and remembered I bought this car to learn different forms of motorsport just not drag racing.
I scored all this stuff for a good price, so i wasn't going to knock it back, also this is somewhat of a development project for work, hence the 2 stage build.

As for building the drag car, its going to cost me atleast 25k to build, so i might aswell build a car that i can do club events and time attack events in aswell as a bit of a slide or drag, I can only drag with a drag car.

Anyway the car is all stripped, cleaned and prepped so, i will start building soon hopefully within a couple weeks. But all the parts will be stripped cleaned, painted/polished and reassembled. Its gonna be one pretty girl.

Why can't i change my title to this thread, that sucks.

The car as it sits, I really have a long way to go.

Stripped and cleaned engine bay ready to go

Asyou can see its fairly straight, though it may have had a tap, in the passenger rear, by looking at the sill, though, there is no evidence of any repairs.

    Drivers is good.

    still very straight.

    MMM parts

    And some more

Custom alloy radiator, with thermo and water pump.

    Sexy custom extractmores.

OS Giken twin plate, and an unfinished bt crank.

Pair of 20v heads, ST and BT.

    Dry sump pan.

    TOM's 47mm Throttles

More pics comin hit the wrong button
