lol this thing is dope
not much in the way of new pics with this update, but I finally got around to getting a quote to fix all the rust. 5k seemed a little silly to me so I weent down the road to a specialist and he quoted 2k. looking forward to getting this started properly.
and now, an old video from last time she went to QR!
lol this thing is dope
was that video shot at that private drift day ages ago when you burnt through a clutch line and Michael and yourself had to go around Ipswich looking for a new one? IF so, I was there!! two thumbs up for the rims :2thumbs: siicckundt
yeah, that was the day lol. rims are hawt, just gotta figure out how to make them fit now...
just got off the phone with the guy who's doing the rust, and suffice to say, he's been busy. as soon as he started cutting and welding, he found heaps more, so it looks like the bill might be closer to 3k.
i'll keep you guys updated.
$2700 later.... i am quite satistfied. there is still some surface rust, but nothing that wouldn't get raped in a paint prep.
nice work mate. looks like its coming along.
AE86....robbing me! check the build.

managed to get the dash back in on the weekend, though i did have an issue with the instrument cluster. i ended up cutting off all the mounts on my ae82 cluster and jamming it behind the ae86 glass.
i am curious as to what other people have done.
pics up this weekend hopefully.
currently having a fair bit of trouble getting the lights working as i used the entire ae82 loom but still have most of the ae86 headlight loom still there.
i got some injector plug clips off another partial loom i had hanging around.
these are a few pics from the melted clutch line drift day that i just dug up.
my mate's car, quite freshly imported and thoroughly in need of an engine rebuild.
hey! I see myself in picture 4 standing and watching!!
