sorry to hi -jack ur thread but, what brand of diff & gearbox oil do u guys use ?

Redline Lightweight shockproof for the t50

g/box - Detron III auto trans fluid no particular brand.. what ever is on special..

what does tha box feel like wit auto dexron III in there .. same or better ?

shifts are sweet!! 3rd gear used to grind and crunch all the time.. no matter what manual box oil i put in there.. a toyota tech mate of mine suggested this to me.. i thought bullshit.. but no, it really does work! some manual boxes even specify running an auto fluid..

you would know this, do you experience any clutch fade due to the fluid reaching its boiling point come to the end of the race?

i know it wouldnt as u use nice fluid, but have you ever had it happen?

DOT 4 should be enough for a non racing sprinter should it not?

I am currently using HPR 15 (15W/60 Semi Syn) and it doesn't use much oil but people tell me my car does blow smoke and I will be idling at the lights or when I park in the garage I will smell this bad smell. Could that be because the oil is to thin?
