theory to help understand the small size of GZE inlet butterfly: stock cars must meet emmisions and comply with power to weight ratios so that they can be deemed safe and efficient and 'green'. i beleive that they put suck a PEASHOOTER inlet on it to limit power to stay within the classification of the motor in regards to power delivery for the chassis' it was released in.

i did this upgrade a long time ago and have never looked back... i was just in the shed one day and thought "hrm that looks like the right hole spacing on those bolts there....."

and FYI you just swap the TPS and locator arm (on inside of TPS) so that the TPS is setup and zero'ed correctly. those who have a SAFC or similar can zero it in by voltage on the readout. ive done 3sge TB swaps on GZE's also, they are harder then the 4ag ones as you have to kind of make the cable fit, aswell as an apater plate cos the physical size of the throttle body is wider and has idle control ports all the way around , they overlap the GZE flange for the throttle. the 4ag one you just move it round a little but you lose your cold idle unless you run the coolant hoses for the wax valve, this also heats up the TB (not ideal)

Hey guys, i tried doing this in my corolla and it kept idling like crazy. I was able to fit the 4age t/b, but then what do i do with all the hoses, it wasn't explained. I plugged in the two vacuum hoses, power steering hoses and this one of a brown vsv (I think thats what it is, comes from the s/c) and turned the car on and it idled at 3200rpm, even when it warmed up it still idled up there, so i attached the coolent lines and still the same thing. Idle screw was all the way in as well.

    Help needed

    Here's a pic of what i did
