I didnt touch the cooler hoses though, and when i put my old t/b back on all was good again
check all your intercooler hose clamps... the same thing happened to me when i replaced the hoses

check for any vaccum leaks or anything like that cause mine did the same kind of thing exactly and it was cause i had a vac leak PM MATTYSHOP he will be abig help
There was no vacuum leaks, i'm sure. The only thing i didn't do a that point was fit the 4age solenoid to a switch. Is this used to lower the rpm cause i was under the impression is was to help with the cold idle only.

has anyone done this conversion successfully besides mattyshop?
loco got it working. and a few other people I know of on another forum have done it.
aparently throttle response is improved and breaths a bit better in the higher rpm.
attempted this today..... rounded off the pissy little bolts on the downpipe into the s/c GRRRR
Big difference in size between the NA and ZE throttle bodies but!
