Buy a 24mm Metrinch socket... it grips the sides of the bolt rather than the corners.

Not too sure if they can get them in or not... i get mine from Gasweld if that helps.

Just look under the rear of most r32's late s13's with the rear wheel steering
Most have cooler line , filter , pump , and nozzle jet to spray the pinion / crown wheel intersection
Wreckers normally remove all of this gear and bin itas nobody refits it to there cars
Some time ago i was at a import wrecker he had a pile of lines pumps etc , i picked up a set up with another spare pump for slab after talking him down from $50 . Its was in the rear of a sportsedan for years cooling the transaxle and never played up once .
But i think you have overlooked diff oil surge as maybe another issue
