    Dudes,

I am planing on purchasing a set of 15"x8" superlights for my AE86, but I'm a little woried obout them scrubing.

I have been told that 15"x8" with 0 offset and 195/50R15 tyres will just fit, but require slight rolling of the guards.

Has anyone fitted these size rims with success?? I realy dont want to spend $880 dollars on rims, and then they not fit

    HELP

i'm almost certain you just have to "lip" the guards, fold back that edge on the guard and you should free up some more room. for the rear that is. they will hang out the front by a bit as my 13 x 7 -7mm superlites hang out of sprinter guards about 5- 10mm, we trial fitted them on Brad's sprinter yesterday ( i can't remember his user name)

    Hmmmm,

Perhaps 15"x7" might cause less hassle's.

Anyone out there have a realy well fitting (no clearence issues) rims so I know what off set to use. Was thinking 15"x7" with like -5 offset??

the 15x8 superlites come in a -4 or +4 offset. get the +4 for the front and lip the guard a bit, and get the -4 ones for the rear.

It will fit on there, but to make them look good and sit in the guards properly, they will require modification.

They sit outside a standard AE86 guard in the 15x8 -4 version.

The +4 version would fit almost in the standard guards but will require the inner lip to be folded in.

I have been doing heaps of research on these of late and I can tell you the -4's require a fair flaring job if you want your car really low like mine.

I currently run the 15x7 in a +12 offset and my guards are lipped on the front and lowered 110mm.

The rear fits inside and untouched rear guard at 110mm drop....JUST!

I can sell you my 15x7's if you want.

what about camber setting tho? if the wheels are angled inwards at the top, there will be slightly more room, yes?

are the measurements taking into account that youve got some sort of camber happening? or completely stock?

i have 3.5 neg, and my guards have had the inner bit that sticks out folded up a bit, should i bother tryin to fit 8s under there??

Here are a few pics of my car with the 15x7 Performance superlites in a +12 offset.

My car is lowered 110mm from standard and running 3deg -camber on the from. I run 3.5 deg +castor also. I have had to fold the front guard up all the way, cut away the bumper where it attached to the guard alo. I have no rubbing anymore. I have also removed my guard liners and pulled my front guards out by hand about 10mm, just by seriously pulling them out!

    Enjoy.

It all comes down to you height and alignment settings.

When i get the 8's in a neg4 offset i will have to very seriously modify my front and rear gaurds to fit them in with the curren theight and alignment settings.

    Cheers,

    Jez

JAE86 has 15x8 -4 on the back. Fits with just the lip folded up a bit. Looks massively horn to.
