The standard leads have funny ends to clip onto the distributor cap, as many late model Toyotas have. These don't fit a generic coil like the Bosch.

So you just have to use normal leads at the length you want. The only problem is that you loose the nice rubber fitting around the spark plug tube, which is ok, but it means you can't get the engine too wet.

The only solution I know is get custom leads, maybe send a old 20v lead to TopGun or someone like that.

OR, ditch the Bosch coils and use Toyota coilpacks off a Rav4, Camry, or Spacier, or HiLux as those coils have the same fittings as the 20v plug leads. That way you can keep standard 20v plug leads, but you just have to mount the coils very close to where the distributor cap would have been.

I rang Topgun, they have a listing on the boots for the AE101/111 and got them to make up a custom lead, AE111 on one side and *cough* Excel on the other, the only problem is you are limited to 5mm leads.

Word has it that B16/B18 leads fit, you just need to trim the boots and you can get them up to 10.1mm

They do make MAX leads for them. Instead of TG4593 it is MAX4593.
MAX features a high temperature silicone cable that utilises patented technology.
MAX cable features a high performance, spiral wire core (with lower resistance).
    But they are still 5mm

    Cheers

Is that TopGun number for the whole lead kit, ready to go? 20 valve to Excel coils?

I'm not a fan of TopGun. I hated their leads for my 2T-G.

The AE101/111 are a custom make and therefore are a one off, I can get some more made up, but they are about $150 a set.

DO u deal straight with Top Gun. If you phone them up with that number and said you want the ends to be different to suit bosch coils, they will make them up for u

    Cheers
