Thread: Quad Throttle Body - air ducting

    Hello,

    Im new to sprinters just test drove my new one im picking up today.....just wondering the more air u can jam into the quads does that mean it will go better?

    I have made a picture to explain what i mean....do u think it will work....im not sure if im correct and would this help the engine?

    yes mate, that most certainly will help you. be sure to grab COLD air with good frontal postioning for maximum intake, u may want to think about some form of filter tho, cuz wats in the air is going straight into your engine.

    when designing air boxes, people tend to build this great big box, its NOT needed, i've work with trumpets and flow benches and with a good bell mouth trumpet you could have the box as close as 40mm and NOT affect HP... my pic is crappy but the green would be to much air box if it makes sense

    i have a silvertop fitted to my Car, i made my airbox the same size as the factory, which was a pain in the ass to measure, but i was told it had to be the same volume as i use factory ecu.
