It is about 2.3L, can't find my oil book at the moment, i bought a 2.5l of penrite gear oil and I only had a small amount left over
Cheers
Hey, figured i shall replace the oil in my gearbox seeing as i have it out for the engine change. So I picked up a 1lt bottle of gear oil from super cheap.
Droped the oil out of the box tonight into a container, and im pretty sure at least 3ltr's dropped out of there.
Does anyone have the exact amount that i should put back in?
Thanks

Gearbox oil is expensive as I found out. I bought a 5lt bottle and only used half or so, I dont remember anymore, a week agos too long .
fair enough... i paid about $8 for the oil i bought...some shite stuff i guess. i dunno, i guess ill just go buy another two of those.
anyone else that may know the straight exact amount? I guess youd just pour it in till you see the oil inside... not too sure, havent done it before
take the drain plug out of the bottom let it drain out. there should be another plug half way up the gearbox i can't remember which side it's on. just keep putting oil in that filler plug until it comes back out. and that's it, that is pretty much the way you fill every gearbox i have ever worked on.
Passanger side.
1.7 litres According to the workshop manual is the correct amount

aight cool, thanks 20v. i took the drain plug out last night and dropped all the oil out, and the filler plug is about 5cm above it. So i guess ill just fill it as you said...
thanks Chris for the correct amount
