    Thanks

I'm pretty sure the safest is 82mm to keep a safe distance between the water jackets and oil galleries...

    I could be wrong

You will get to 83mm but its does get a bit thin between 2 & 3

I would only bore out the minimum required to re-hone the bores. If you're trying to gain extra engine capacity by overboring it's probably not the best way to go about it. You'll gain a tiny fraction for a substancial loss in block strength.

if you use sleeves then yes it can be stronger. but 4ag's are a close deck design so it wouldnt add alot and i dont think youd ever need it.

anyway 82mm is the max factory recomendation/size they supply pistons up to.

83 is done sometimes but its not recomended for the reason mentioned already.

if you actually saw how thin it would be if bored that far you wouldnt do it.

Yeah. Thanks fellas, I think I just get them cleaned up instead of going in and trying to gain extra capacity. I will focus on balancing more.

Good idea. Money better spent on balancing then trying to chase .80 capacity increase and only 2hp, if that. Justa guess but you get the idea.

    Cheers
