Hesitatation to rev from standstill

This problem showed up a few weeks ago where from standstill, especially lights, the car would barely move... then suddenly pick up once revs got up a bit, although power band wasn't as smooth as it should be. These were very hot days, high 30s up to 40s, then the problem went away even though there were still hot days. Tonight it started happening again, except the temp is quite cool, mid 20s outside at night.

AFAIK I'm running a stock JAP 4age redtop bigport with pod filter and exhaust.

Anyone have any ideas?

I had a problem like this with my old car. People kept saying give it more gas, but it didn't work. The Problem terned out to be a vacuum problem. I ignored it long enough and the brake assist stoped working.

see if the problem happens after a long period of breaking hard at the lights...
