4ac's are tough litte motors, learn to drive with it, have fun, a good set of pipes and a carby and a slighly longer duration cam would go ok, but as everyone has said, just get a 4age

it is waste of money to modify 4ac unless you are a super millionaire.

im thinking of taking off the stock air filter and put a flexi hose, then connect it to a pod filter
would this do anything?? make a cooler intake noise??

I agree that a 4AC isnt some sickass powerplant and that it shouldnt be modified...however I believe a 4AC has ample power for the beginner to learn in and learn to control.
Come to Adelaide and many can show you that a 4AC powered car can outrun many a fast nissan in the hills and hold its own on the track.

having a stock sprinter i was mucking around in the hills with a sprinter stock but 4age'd and i kept up pretty well
i'm not sure what the previous owner of my daily did to it, but the 4ac in that was the most responsive lil bugger ever. i might put it on the dyno when i get it going again
