thanks for the link, well it doesnt work, but i went to the site and picked up the manual
Link (if anyone is interested):
ive finally gotten to the stage of starting the engine
although.....
All voltages are correct as per supplied diagrams. handset shows correct data for all sensors. but...no negative trigger is given to injector or ignition coil outputs when cranking over. even though the wiring is verified to be correct.
is there a mode or functon i need to enable to allow the ecu to do its thing? could it be a problem with the ecu itself?
there is no orange igntition light showing even though there is ignition power going into the unit. does this only come on when the engine is running?
ok so the setup is as follows.
silvertop 20v
ltx8
4x bosch hec715 coils
does anyone have a manual for this ecu?
(ok just found this..
if the CAS is incorrectly wired would it cause the ecu to not trigger both the coils and injectors?
any light shed on the subject would be most appreciated.
thanks

I know your pain in working this out, but its hard to help without being there.
I did the same to a different car, with MicroTech LTS8.
The way I found the problems was this:
*I took the CAS out of the motor, still wired up.
*I used noid lights on the injectors
*I had the spark plugs out, but still conected to the plug leads.
You can then put the MicroTech in diagosis mode, and without cranking the motor all the injectors and spark plugs should be going like crazy, if all is well.
Then I put the computer in normal mode, and switched on. Then go around and turn the CAS by hand, and you should see the plugs and injectors fire in order. Its a buitifull thing when working right.
In my case, I found everything was good, only the silly irridium plugs got fouled too quickly on raw fuel and wouldn't fire. I put cheap spark plugs in and everything worked perfect.
problem is solved guys
turned out to be incorrect wiring of the CAS, due to dodgy microtech wiring diagrams.
the right configuration is
NE should go to Data 1 (black to red)
G1 goes to Data 2 (Red to green)
G- goes to gnd (white to blue)
thanks for your help
and now she lives.
I agree, MicroTech diagrams could be alot better. Many of them have things crossed out and re-written in pen. Its a joke.
