    to tell the difference between formula atlantic and trd engine look for these two items on the cam covers.
    Gold paint (usually) and haselgren logo. other way is open quad throttles (as oppose to box) and dry sump among others.

    IS THAT A WASTE GATE IN THAT PIC>?!?! cool 86 turbo
    what's a cool engine.

    Kawaii, I dont think that is the way or best way to tell.
    Hesselgren isnt the only place that made formula atlantic engines, as it was a series, not a specific specification.

    Anyways, what was the give away that it was a 3s slyder?

    farken massive turbo which wouldnt go so good on a FA engine was the giveaway for me.
