im no expert but i dont think that 7kg less in your car would make that much diffrence that you would new springs.

Hahaha, i know the exact article your talking about....

It was a article by MotoP if i remember correctly in America.

My only suggestion with weight reduction is dont go Carbon fibre in anything unless the item is made 100% of carbon fibre and is actually worth the bang for buck. Go for Fibre glass, it most cases it cost heaps less then the carbon item and the weight loss in comparison to the carbon item isn't that far off.

But if your into the carbon fibre just for the look, then thats you decision as well.

i pulled out most of my interior except door trims and some of the dash. aircon is next to go as it doesn't work anyway. doors can be easily retrimmed with VB beach towels. apparently

    cheers

also, i haven't noticed much difference as i still have 4AC and stock suspension so it'll handle and run like a pile of shit anyway

If you wanna go hardcore, scratch the tar off the underside of the body.

That shit weighs a heap more than the sound deadening.

You know I swear I noticed my car felt better after removing the aircon gear.. (not under dash stuff as of yet)

maybe it depends on your level of sensitivity to your car.

A good place to start is with wheels and suspension.

I'd look at lighter rims before a glass/carbon bonnet, two advantages then less unsprung weight = better handling and less weight overall.
