super quick question, (because i couldn't be bothered to walk outside an ask)

    Is it possible to fit a 4agze 225mm flywheel off a AW11 into a Silver top 20v.

    From memory..

    Silvertop 20v's have a 212mm fly and 4agze have a 225 fly (both 8 bolt)

im not sure what the pros and cons would be of putting the bigger fly in, (even it does fit)

    Thanks

Yes it will fit a T50. You just need to grind the T50 bellhousing a little and it will work.

You can transfer more torque through the larger clutch

However you won't be pushing the limits of a 212mm flywheel and decent clutch with a 20V unless you do a serious turbo conversion to it.

ZE (224mm) flywheel is meavier than the 212, so I'd say don't do it.

    thats true biggo

the input shaft on a GZE is the same size as those on the W series gearboxes. if your putting out enough power to require a larger flywheel then you will need to upgrade your gearbox becasue you will blow a t-50 to peices.

there are plenty of guys running 200mm flywheels with decent clutch setups on their 4AGTE's and some have a bit of slip some dont depends on which pressure plates and clutch plates they use.

    bigger isnt always better.

Yeh it is but you get a clutch plate out of a toyota dyna truck, it has the same diameter as the GZE clutch but the same spline as a T50 gearbox.
