You can buy them from your Local Hobby Store, whatever that is, OR theres a great shop in Japan that sells a LOT of models, it tells whether they are in stock and converts the currencies straight away. I suggest the online shop if you really wan't to get into it, although i've never bought from there, if i want to buy a specific model i will

    details:
    fujimi ae86 levin 2door
normal watanabe wheels with custom made lips which are about 16 inch in scale
fully scratchbuilt turbo 4age motor from various random parts
    kind of jblood body kit
dodgey paint which had heaps of orange peel so i put a light blue coat over the bright red

Damn good work Meadan, praise too u.
Just curious what did you use to do the bodywork?

And there is finally a enginebay detailed ae86 about to be released, just to inform people.

    I have a problem.
I have a nice DR30 ironmask model that was hard enough to find. And one of the front windshield pilars has a kink in it near the roof, about 3 mm down. Cause of where it is it holds alot of strength to the kinked shape.
Anyone have any ideas how to remedy this?

Use Putty That would be my only idea, or use some styrene and completely make the whole pillar again.. There is ways, just got to be skilled

it can get like that wolfwood....
I remember about a couple of years ago when I started to pick up modeling again..... I was building a Fujimi Mine's R32. After I fucked the paint on the body the 3rd time I crushed it in my hands and mangled it.
Now I am halfway through building up a Tamiya kit with the Mine's layout......... superior item with engine detail. But it has the early style bumper without the vents. Wish I thought to keep the wreck I mangled for the Nismo vented bumper.

i have a fujimi Kuki 86 coupe i am building at the moment.. the same colour scheme as my kuki 86 coupe.. only problems is it has watanabes not speedstars ohh well.. but it has the front lip and all you put the body kit on seprate from the body... pretty cool i thought.. the modles arn't the expensive part.. i just bought some paint, glue, and some brushes for the wheels.. things like that.. $70!!! and a $40 model... expensive for a tiny bit of plastic! but it's an 86 yo!
