Ok people just wanna get some ideas for a cold air intake system for my ae86
POST PICS
This is what I had in my jza70
do the same thing on your sprinter, you'll figure it out.
Cut roughly a half circle out from the bottom of the big hole thats behind the right head light. This should give you enough room to run some cold air induction pipe from the front bumper through the hole and to your air filter. A thin cutting blade on a grinder should do this with out much mess.
havent got a pic right now but i have a pod filter mounted in the corner of the front bumber below the headlight.
Can anybody tell me if this is a bad idea? seems ok, but im not 100% sure
its bad if it gets really wet. if it gets saturated, and a decent amount of water gets through the filter and into the engine, it can cause very serious damage. i dont think its worth it for 0.2hp.
78's
Yeah hydrolock is a serious issue with CAIs
However I was always under the impression that you would need to drive through a sizable puddle to almost submerge the whole pod to suck up water the cause hydrolock......
In any case...... since most of us take the plastic fender liner I guess it increase the risk.
.2hp of powahhhh! haha thanks for the help, sorry for hi-jacking your thread a little! Il get some pics if your interested
Yep please do
on the passenger side if possible but any fine
These are pretty bad pics, i cant even work out what angle ive taken them on! il get some new ones for you tommorow show you exactly whats happening under there! And i know my pod filter is stuffed, damage from the old engine before it was mounted where it is now
I was thinking of putting the battery in the boot and fitting an ARC airbox there. BUT too much of a waste of time and money i guess
