I'm no expert but i was lead to believe they just mounted up behind the plastic lens and when turned out simply shone though?
Hey guys, I've been meaning to ask about this concerning my grill.
The one I have is a Letterbox that hasn't had the holes cut out to fit the foglights through.
Now my questions are:
Do I cut just the area outlined in RED and do I include the shaded areas or do I leave it?
What type of workshop could do this for me as I have limited tools available?
If anyone has pics laying about showing what one looks like that has been cut from stock would help heaps.
Cheers
Luke

Ahh negatory as the back piece I have (piece with red outlines) is filled in and Im sure they need to be cut out.
by this pic you cut the black inner bit to make the lights fit but DON'T cut the clear bit on the outside so the light shines through. that said i own a trueno so somebody else should be able to confirm.
you should also consider mounting in a fully hektic neon behind the grill, it would look siiiiiiick bro.

first question:
cut the area out not including the shaded part, fit light
if light does not fit, cut shaded section out.
second question:
workshop? lol. go buy a dremel from bunnings, can get them for like 60bucks.
Ill post a pic of my grille(Fog light type) this will give you a good idea of what needs to be cut out,but like the other guys have stated dont cut the tinted bit that goes on the outside as the light will shine through this part.
Okay guys thanks for the response. DONT cut clear cover.
blair: I'll get onto that too mate, I wasnt too sure what tool i should be looking for or anything so thanks
Luke
