Head is bare, just lightly bolted to check the timing belt situation and measure the oil drain
Getting the valves re-installed tomorrow and then assemble later in week. Need to modify the tensioner or start again with some bearings.
Spent a few minutes just staring.... then the missus told me to get over it

Argghhhh, Head needs to be re-cond again! Valve seats are shabby, valves were not correctly seating after last re-co. This is money I didn't want to spend!!!
So, I will get some CAMS to make the re-shimming process cost effective

Quick update - things slowed down because I bought a house at Christmas.
Car has been driven to new place and then a few more things before a tune and run-in.
Ended up with a Custom Ivan Tighe Camshafts, around 270/280 duration and have removed the VVT capability.
Currently modifying the intake manifold to clear the bonnet because the 7A is taller and there are no more bonnet webs to remove. i also don't want to lower the engine because any lower and the sump wont be safe at the level of the cross-member.
