    TOMs IS200 Turbo
Mate of mine got one back at home but I never got go see it in the flesh.

That would be a nice swap for an 86, if you were into that kind of thing.

Called the toms 280t, as the name suggests they have 280ps, Very rare, was only 100 sold, given to a few Netz toyota dealers and sold in the same day with in hours. You would not buy one for the performance tho, could not justify the premium, would be cheaper and more successful bolting a turbo kit up to a standard 3s altez.

standard gen 3 3s makes around 270ps, and has all the parts to wind it out further, not sure what the benifit of a beams would be, better flowing head i guess, but then you could just put that head on a gen 3 and be away.

Besides the turbo kit, body kit and Tom's wheels, they also have Tom's adjustable sus, and under chassis cross braces fitted. I have a Best Motoring vid from 1999 that featured Tom's 280T vs RS200, Nismo tune vs S15, Mazdaspeed vs FD RX7, STI vs WRX, etc. It rated well but tyres let it down, the Mazdaspeed FD was rated best factory tuned machine.
