Coating is better. Probably more expensive, but it wont fall off or rust underneath.

I'd also coat the rear housing rather than bag it, neater in my opinion. However I have no great experience either way.

how much does ceramic coating usually cost? anyone know?

I wonder how they would go if I asked them for a quote for some 4 cylender extractors and then brought some 1.5 meter long pipes in.

swift engine reconditioners - in south brisbane.. aka competition coatings price varies.. i remember back in the day i got a set of pipes for $140.. but i know it has changed greatly due to better techniques, coatings etc etc.. i reackon u should coat them.. then heat wrap them.. the heat wrap stops everything else from getting hot! and i think it looks pretty sweet when done proply with steel bread ties or even stainless hose clamps..

i'll tell you now.. coating is alot cheaper than bagging the turbo.. but coating doesn't really make a big difference with the heat soaking.. basicly it just stops any corrosion happening on the pipes.. still gets farking hot as.. so if you coat the wrap.. you'll have a win win.. massive heat control..and you don't have to worry about the pipes falling off the side of the head!.. but beware stainless turbo manifolds do not like the constant heat.. it's piss weak and brittle as shit (un less it stainless steam pipe ofcourse )
