    Hey.

Ihave a AE71 with 4ac no interior and falcon springs, sigma control arms, ra40 tierod ends, short stroke shocks etc etc. i am wondering if i should get a roadworthy now and drive it around as is or trailer it to track for now and wait until i do a 4age conversion and get seats and stuff. Will i need a mod plate for a 4age? the seats?

    Thans for opinions people...Mark

I'm in the same boat as you (I even have an ae71!) I was going to wait but decided to get mine regoed as is with 4ac. Once the car is going you can drive it around, sort out exactly how you want your suspension, etc, and fix any niggling problems that might pop up. Then when it comes time to swap motors the car will be all ready to go.

I hope what I've said makes some sense?

Id definately say get it asap, i basically got mine registered as soon as i could.

when it comes to new engines and mod plates and all other crap roadworthys will be harder to get. Especially when its just a backyard engine job etc.. legal requirements will not always be met, somethings you cant always get to have it proper..

and just generally when your up to that point youll have other stuff thats not hard to miss that may not be 'legal'

Mod plates are required for no seats and 4age. no rear seats have to be legally as a two seater, so seat belts and everything related to those back seats basically have to be out of the car. then mod plated

Where you at dude, i got my rear seats around... you can borrow them for roadworthy if you on the coast. tho if your seat belts are out... your gonna have to get mod plate. id suggest getting one anyway tho, as if its on the road missing rear seats arnt hard to miss by police lol

Course out, great to hear you got a ae71 now
haha mark, yup ae71 sprit represent!
