same belts GE/GZE..
there are 2 dents behind the cam gears on the metal backing plate.. the small dents on the cam gears have to line up with this, on TDC (crank)
I'm was just about to cheek the valve clearances, on the 1st half of the valves ant TDC (0 degrees) When I noticed that the TDC notches in the cams were not lined up the same.
Is that normal? I put the timing belt on by the book, by lining up the indents in the cam wheels the groves in the cam cover, and lined up the notch in the drive pulley with the notch on the oil pump? and having at the belt tight on the right side ( non tensiony pully)
its a 4agze but that shoudnt matter should it?

just check it and re-adjust it..
when you put a timing belt on.. and have it all done, you should turn the motor a few times.. then put back on TDC to check the marks..
ahhh fixed the problem, my ajustable cam gears only have one hole for the knock pin, and it was the wrong hole for the exhust, so ive counted forward or back however many it was (17 i think) but now its all fixed. thanks again justin for the pic
also found out that the TDC for the aw11 is wen the first notch is alinged to the idler pully
