^^^ Yais 3S-GTE si a good idea. it's a good engine but will require some long hours to get it to work

7M is an easy conversion (well, easier, no conversions are ever easy) but you will want to put a trd head gasket, bigger injectors + trd Sump and oil pump on it if you want it to stay alive, but they can prove to be a good motor if done correctly

Have fun with this one, i would like to see how it turns out.

You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?

won't take that much work.. 7M-GTE are a good motor.. but quite old school.. and heavy... reason i said 3SGTE is the same reson why people put SR20's into ceffiys (hey Nathan ) good weight balance.. newish motor.. quite cheap to come buy... about $1900 for a Gen 2 3SGTE... ST185 celica GT4.. basicly you need to find a SA63 at the wreckers... steel the W-5X - S series bellhousing.. and or box if you wanted it.. sump and oil pickup from the 2S.. mounts.. and cross member.. basically bolt in.. same floor pan.. plus they have big brakes and a big F series diff with IRS..

1ggte. reasonably light and cheap as chips. it would be a pretty straight conversion too

best option is the 7MGTE, itll be the easiest fitout

1GGTE is a no no, the car weighs too much and the 1GGTE doesnt produce enough torque to be fun.

If you wana spend big dollars the next best thing is a 1J, 2J can be done but its a fair bit harder. if you MUST go 1J dont do it, buy the one thats for sale on toymods for 11k, itll cost you ALOT more to do it than that, thats for sure.

3sgte is also big bucks and the engines are pretty damn heavy for what they are, and require alot of custom sump, oil pickup work becuase the engine sits at a different angle when in rwd format, far from "bolt in"
