    Default a simple question

    from a simple minded person...

    will an ae86 strut brace fit in my ae71 ?

    and also would this be any good to me or is there to many differences:

    Strut brace would fit....
    The width between the strut tops are different...
    And as far as Im aware all the bushes in that kit you'll be able to use....
    Just did my KE and I think from memory the only difference is the rear sway bar D bushes are different.. But they have a different diff to an 86

    what do you mean the gap between the strut tops are different?does this mean i'll have to mod them a bit ?

    If you bolt the brackets for you strut brace on then the bar that runs between them won't reach... thinks that a KE/ae71 bay is about 30mm wider...

    I thought they would be the same as well..
    But went to put my mates spare brace on and it don't fit...

    buy an adjustable one, i had one on my ke70 and it fitted

    ADM AE86 and E7 run different strut tops. The inside of the three studs holding it in place is about 5mm out between them. So the ends of an AE86 brace may not suit the E7 studs. Easy to redrill though.

    Also I've heard it rumoured that JDM AE86 strut tops are the same as E7, so maybe a jap strut brace will fit.

    Ummm. That does not make any seance. The strut tops will still be in the same position.

    Adjustable is the go.
