If you want to pour money into a 'monster n/a setup' then it would probably be a better investment to start with a stronger more powerful platform. Like a 100kW 'redtop' 4age.

The bottom end is different, the rods and crank is a bit stronger in the 100kw.

Also the head on the smallport (100kw engine) lends itself more to producing torque lower in the rev range, whereas the big port (your motor) has a head that works better higher in the rev range.

I'm using a big port myself, mainly because I got the motor very cheaply. Either motor is a massive improvement over a 4ac anyway!!

JDM engine is exactly the same as the ADM AE82 motor... just ecu/ accesories are different..

18mm gudgeon pins, and 40mm big ends/ 3 rib block

    the 100kw/20v/GZE has
20mm gudgeon pins, 42mm big ands, and 7 ribs on the inlet side.. as an added bonus they usually have smallport heads.. (small port is easier to get power out of for street/race use, a big port head would require a bit more work)

the 86kw bottom end is perfectly OK if properly prepared. if you expect to get much over 140kw, then the larger crank & rods found in all 100kw and 20V's is a good idea, but the ZE rods are too heavy so avoid them. The secret is in the detail. we build race & street versions of these engines regularly
