Besides buys expensive alarms etc. etc.
Does anyone have any good ideas for cheap anti theft systems? i want something easier than just pulling out the ECU and carrying it away, as this will get a little annoying after a while.
I currently have a stock 4AC and pulling out the rotor button and putting the cap back on is easy as pie, but ill soon have an SR in there and havent thought of any "kill switch" ideas.

NOTE: isolater switches dont count, unless they are somthing fansy

Even better is pulling the coil lead every time you get out of the car and put it in your back pocket. it is highly unlikely that a thief will have one in their back pocket! Same as the rotor button, but faster. It's a bit hard on an SR though.....

I did this at one stage "removing lead" and found that upon attempted start up you could hear it ark out, and therefor instantly know the problem. with a simple swap of a lead, your off (running on 3 cylinders), what a score!

The obvious batterty switch hidden underneath the carpet usually works.... Great idea if your battery is in the boot....

Also, considered a tap on your fuel line... One of my mates has this, you dont get far down the road....

Dont need to make your car un-stealable (which impossible anyway) you just need to make it look harder to steal than the car next to it.

If you are going to remove something a fuse is too easy, it would probably be the first place they would look if the car doesnt kick and you could replace it with a $0.01 paperclip.
