How do people find the lock from S13 susp?
I feel sure that power-steering arms give more lock than S13 gear. And that's after months of back to back driving.

i spose the tiens dont have a seperate height adjustment at the base?
what is 6 offset? neg or pos?
the wheels wont scrub if you raise it somewhat, with new coilovers.

Benifits are not only extra lock but extra track as well, a lot of extra track, see my build thread below.
- Running 15x8 0 offset and the tyre is 2 inches outside of the guard plus massive lock. I am running it for drift but will smaller rims and a bit of flaring you should be fine.
I used D2 shocks coz they were cheap, like 200 and they are fully height adjustable so they are just the right height, just a bit lower than my 6kgTRD uncut rear springs leave it sitting.
I just put all the s13 gear in the front of my ke70.
New ISC front coilovers.
s13 hubs and LCA's
r33 gts calipers and slotted rotors.
rack ends and what not...
This setup is way too wide for the street on my car maybe some frontwheel drive rims could fix.
But i think i need to take my guards off and add 2 inches of sheet metal to keep the wheels under.
i'v got 15-8 +4 superlights..
But the thing handles like a dream.....
Soon to be sr20 ke70.....
Thanks to gilly for the thread.....
Run some S13 spec rims something like 15x7 with +20 offset. It doesn't look the best, but its practical.
My car has S14 Crossmember, rack with PS (i have a S14 VCT SR20DE and box fitted also) s13 LCA's (cut and shut to same length as STOCK AE86 arms, due to the fact the LCA mounting points on the s14 crossmember are 40mm further out then the stock KE/AE location) i also have S13 tie rods, with rack spacers, Custom made coilovers using stock S14 struts, with TRD blue inserts. 6 kg springs and some bump steer adjusters for the rack ends.
all in all... kit handles FAR better then any KE or AE86 i have driven. in fact, being an entire Silvia front end, it handles better then any sprinter ive driven also lol.
some pics if u care
Im more interested in how you got the S14 xmember in there.
Does it fit well?
crossmembers are easy to swap.
usually you just cut them short and weld some 90 degree steel on the ends and redrill.
sometimes you can just redrill the crossmember without further mods.
all you do is slot the holes on it and it will bolt up.
yeah in my cars i just slotted 2 holes out and it fitted no worries
