    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has fitted the 'just jap' Bride style seats to an AE86?

If so, how high are they? Was the standard seat rail modified, or a custom one made?
What was the overall 'fit' like?

I think they are around $400 for the pair.

    ADR approved.

    Seems like a cheaper option.

    Cheers.

    Dude these seats are rubbish.....

dont go cheap on a seat.. and buy real rails

Real brides are not adr approved but are FIA...

Just think a seat connects you to the car along with the seatbelt... if you ahve a shit quality seat it coulds snap in two in a crash... also this is the same as rails they can snap

its up to you but i wouldnt be going cheap on a seat

    do it right once

    my 2cents

rob: what? $350 for a pair?

why are these seats rubbish? because they are copies?

personally, I havent seen much seats which are ADR approved.
I wouldnt use their rails because they are universal. But the seats should only be a little different from a Bride.

They are ADR approved. Let us think about that for a second. ADR, that means that they have passed the Australian design rules and regulations with regards to seat safety. I highly doubt that this means that they are a "nasty" seat by any means. Any seat that is ADR approved is good enough for me..the brides being FIA approved is just one step better (although not recognised as conforming to ADR) the seat has been approved for motorsport use.

i dont really care about that adr and fia rules but i once had one of the fix backs and it was one one the worst things i have sat in (i normally role in aircraft bomber chairs) there is not enough padding across the back, meaning you are smashing your lower back/bum on the cross bracing through the seat.. i would not recommend them, not even to idiots.. dangerous things!

    have fun

lets just say they're weird in a sprinter
when positioned upright the seat is headbutting the roof

I did buy a pair of these about 6 months back but as poh86 says, they almost hit the roof. With a cage they wont fit at all. The base on them seems to be too thick.
