pretty sure its just glued in with hot strips or sumin. u can cut it off or try to push it out or heat it up or sumin honestly im not sure but if u want a sure fire way to get rid of it... remove hatch... attach hammer... that'll get tha job done REAL quick

string? u mean like taking off side strips of the car with fishing wire, same principle? or am i completely off here?

haha there wont be any hammers coming close to my glass anytime soon hopefully. i might give the heat gun a shot though.

    thanks for the replys

Just push the seal edge over from the inside. The hatch lip will probably crumble away with rust and then the glass and seal will come out easily.......

Hahahahhahaha Dave you love for Evan is blinding you.

You use string or rope to re-install the windows.

As mentioned you need to slowly and gently pry the seals out from the inside, use sturdy screwdriver to get up and under the seals from the inside, then slowly work your way around.

Hint: start in a cnr, and dont take the hach off, makes it much easier. Also peeling back the seal from the outside and using soapy water can/will help.

Be patient it will take time and some convincing if youve never done it before.

helps if you have somone to apply pressure where you are easing the seal out. you want the glass to come out through the top of the hatch. its quite easy just be patient and work your way around.
