Looking to get some aftermarket cams for my 20v silvertop (trumpets, extractors,E6X ECU).
I've heard you can get some that still keep the vvt?
    Any info would be great

Ive heard people go to a bigport head as not many people in Aus have a great deal of knowledge in the 20v heads. This is what josh young did.

I bloke in Melbourne (named Steve from memory) runs a blacktop in a KE25 racecar. I think he said he dropped in an aftermarket intake cam. May be worth tracking him down if you can. The race boys and clubman boys tend to know a fair bit about 20Vs

Stouty, you should really reference your quote from Drift Battle there.

For Starters its BOUGHT not brought.

Stouty, if you KNOW something, then add to a thread in a positive manner. If you read some crap from drift battle, keep it to yourself. There has been quite a lot of development of the 20V head in Aus, Drift battle is full of shit.

Get in contact with Wade Cams() - apparenetly they now have 20V Cam Billets in stock, they can do them in any of the profiles that they list. I have heard it's about $660 a pair any grind you want. You may want to confirm that price first.

Toda do cams for the 20V head, you can get them through about $1400 the pair. or you can import them yourself by using someone like greenline.

Also you may want to work out what you want from the motor before you select a grind, anything that is bigger than say 280deg advertised duration is going to be a bitch to drive on the street due to the lack of low down torque. Remember that the 4AG 20V has cams with 250deg advertised duration top start with. If it's a track car, 320deg cams ftw!!!

Cheers heaps! I thought i'd seen them before on greenline!
So what would you suggest for a weekend/track car intended for drift duties?
Will i have to upgrade any other components if putting in cams with a big duration?
I'm a noob on anything other than stuff that bolts on

no one get all huffy with the info im about to add as ive heard it from an educated source,
from what i was told, the 20v cams are not the downfall with the head as they are happy to rev to 8000, aparently the inlet and exhaust ports are quite restrictive on the head and if you were to run an aftermarket comp, get some port work done and thinner head gasket, it should really be all you need to free up a bit more power.
as i said im no expert on this stuff just passing on what ive heard.
