GOT MATHS! hahaha.. i had to read it a little slower than normal.. but very good article..
personally i wouldn't do it, just cos it's going from oversquare to undersquare.. i'd rather attempt boring it out a little.. although you can't do much.. and you will almost definitly run into overheating problems.. increased bore is my dream for a 1.8 4AGE.. a little extra stroke is good maybe even a sqaure 81x81mm a bit more stroke thanks to an offset ground crank? would definitly need a 42mm big end crank for this.. and i can't imagine it lasting terribly long at high RPM.. unless billet... hrmmmmm.... make me think....
'goes off to think'......
hmmmmmm im thinking i should do that hey but not sure how it will run but if i new i probebly would do that,
i will see
sounds like it should be good
8AGE 1.9L only way to go!
will be doing this when i blow up my bigport
there is a guy in melbourne who can cryogenically strengthen the crank
one of these motors with a 20v head will go of the chain NA all the way with shit loads of toque
Tech article or general discussion?

hm, wonder if the bigport head would be the best one for this.
i reakon it would be better with a smallport head, and it wouldn't rev very hard.. cos the piston speed is greatly increased with that much extra stroke... if you want it to rev hard and make some alround power and still decent top end power you'd need to make it as square as possible...
This page talks about the 5age and the 7age weaknesses and strengths of both. Takls about only reving to 6800 in the 7age.
i am build ing 1 of these beautys at the moment
using wisco pistons and aries rods and a crank that has went on a diet lol
i used a small port head with extreme work done to it as big port heads are boat anchors in n/a form with 304 cams with 11.5mm lift and blah blah you know the rest
as for 6500rpms max.....well more like 8700 or more with mine lol
