pressure in the sump
fit an oil catch can
Guys I've just popped the hood to have a look at my engine. I took the car for a short bash, about 6500 in the reves max. The dip stick has pushed it self out. I all so noticed this the other day after taking my car for a fairly long run. I'm wondering if this is common. ( I dowwwt it) Do I have blow by issues. I should rev the car out to its max of 7500 to see if any oil come out.
Any ideas from people who know would be good.

crank case pressure isnt getting a little high, prob due poor condition rings.
can try an oil catch can, or simply secure ur dip stick down with a zip clip!
^^lol zip clip
im sure its your rings man.
what engine
Yus, crankcase pressure FTL. get your motor compression tested, see if its blowing smoke etc.
if that turns up all peachy fit a coke bottle oil catch can, and fork out the whole $80c for a genuine toyota dipstick o-ring.
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?
nissan RB motors have this problem alot.. hey nathan.... hahaha..
How a catch can going to help. At the moment I've got the breather just venting into the engine bay. I hope its not the rings because this motor was supposted to have only 6 months of use befor I bought it since being rebuilt.
try a compression test.. or a leak down test.. will tell you if it's the rings..
dont worry matty, its just a nissan thing in general.
cameron gales 'fresh' motor (rebuilt last week) didnt even last the entire super drift weekend in oran park, but the ol zip clip FTW truely works!
well no not really, it then managed to blow oil between the sump instead
did you already check to see if your pcv valve and your breather hoses aren't blocked and working ok?
