    Hey all.
Firstly, sorry about the lack of photos but didnt intend on doing a write at the beginning.

First remove the standard plate for the side of the block.
(This is wot it looked like before i cut off the bottom, add imagination)

    Reverse side

Now after cutting off the bottom, i ground it up nice. The two bolts on the bracket arn't the right length to fit the block. One of the holes needs to be re-drilled out to make the distance between 5mm longer.

The bracket needs to be spaced out from the block to avoid a sersor in the side. I used a longer 70mm high tensile bolt for the front hole and a 80mm bolt for the rear. I then cut down high tensile spacers to a length of 33mm each.

Spacers are of lighter colour between the piping.

The rear of the bracket needs quite extensive grinding to make the bolt head and the spacer sit flush. Then grab some wire to find the length of the belt needed, i used a 660mm but this depends on how you plan to make a tensioner.

Final product, i my opinion the perfect postion, oodles of space between the oil filter, extractors and engine mounts. Also lines up perfect to the crank pulley. Sorry i couldnt take pics of the bracket but its already been tensioned an cbf taking it off again.

Iv already made a tensioner which will be welded to the top of the bracket, no pics atm will update later.

Note: a 4afe bracket can be used instead of the standard item and is straight bolt-on but a custom tensioner needs to be made. This is the most common alternative or a fully custom bracket and tensioner.

    Finished the tensioner
Used a peice of steel and a galvanised tensioner and a D-shackle.
Cut to size a 10mm peice of steel, which is overkill but it was lieing around.

Ground it up to sit perfect

Got the dirty arch out, attempted to weld. **Note: the cam wheel cover court fire due to the heat so probly take it off first and always keep a fire extinguisher at reach when welding in the engine bay. **

Lick of paint, connected the fittings and just tighted the tensioner by hand.

Honestly this tuned out perfecty but my 86 is track only so i dont have to worry bout wot it looks like for roadworthy. Sounded awesome when i hit the key, been listening to vn style belt squeeing for 9 months
