australia got ae85.6
Is the main different just the engine.?
if u were looking for a 86. and a 85 was dropped at ur door.
would u take the 85 and beef up the engine etc.
or continue to try and find a cheap 86 and than do that up.
australia got ae85.6

im talking AE85 Jap import.
y u would import an ae85?
if ur paying more than 6k for an import ae85 (trueno) on the road then i wouldnt really bother
30kw club
by my understanding the 85 has a 1.5 engine, cant rember what one, but if you were chosing between and oz spec and an 85 there would be no difference. cuz at the end of the day your going to change the engine, suspension etc... but an import 86... id get that over an import 85
i thought 85's had a 3a and gay pedal setup... not worth the hastle imo
$1000 its for sale. still rego.
clearly i would update engine, sus, brakes, etc.
if i understand correctly. isnt it the same shell. with just a weaker engine?
SOHC V DOHC ?
So your importing it? Where from Japan or New Zealand? Does it need to be complianced? If you can get it on the road for that price it sounds like it might be worth while. I mean lets face it most people get ADM ae86 s for the shell and straight away start replacing it all with JDM/ aftermarket/homemade gear.

Just a hunch but if this guy is in australia he probably talking about a sprinter, but as he probably doesnt know anything about them besides what hes seen on initial d then he just saying that the sprinter is a ae85.
the car is already in melbs. for sale for $1000. imported from jap, (still has rego and drives day 2 day)
i heard that aus 85 was fwd and jap 85 was rwd.
can anyone confirm this?
