is there any difference btw fwd, rwd, bluetop or redtop distributor??

I dont know the actuall specifics of each but i know this, cant use different dizzy with different ecu or different injectors.

After reading and doing a little searching i have found that

# fwd & rwd bigport uses 1 rpm sensor for the ecu NE. It also has G- & G+(also known as G1) which is coil pick up and pick up coil feed. So thats a 3 wire dizzy. But i think the plugs are the same but the wire pins are different inside the plug. Thats easy to fix.

#fwd smallport uses 1 rpm sensor for the ecu NE, It also has G+, G1/- & G2, but only on certain models, mainly in the USA.

As for all the others, they all appear to do the same thing. Maybe they are the same but go about their business differently.
