    Default Turbo 4ac?

    I have a rebuilt silvertop sitting in my garage and i want to boost my 4ac while im saving up for a computer.

    SO, has anyone done it before?

    manifold: looking at the amount of room available, i'd guess the turbs would have to be mounted basically in front of the engine, where the bottom hose is or just above it?

    intake: i want to have blow through so i'd probs just block up holes in the standard one and run some kind of boost friendly gaskets, yes? and a fuel pressure regulator obviously. and definetly an intercooler because i dont want my carby getting too hot.

    exhaust: 2.25'' straight through system which i'll have to get anyway to run the silvertop.

    any help would be appreciated

    Cheers,
    Dillon

    Such a mission!!!
    The carby will blow seals so either need to get an old webber which are made for blow through setups or make a pressurised box setup which goes around the whole carby, like a plenum on the whole intake. a malpassi carby turbo fuel reg and a carter black low pressure fuel pump. I prefer use a suck through setup using an SU style carby, gets rid of the pressure issues like the sigma turbos.

    Lawsons spirit was in drift battle one issue. Not sure which one tho. What turbo u using? Is it realy worth doing? Lol.

    A mate of mine had a 180b with a ghetto suck through turbo setup, he was flicking through zoom one day and they had a photo of his car (must have been taken while person before him owned it) and underneath was the words: what not to do. Lol

    If u want to do it on a budget I think maybe a side draft carb from an old Alda Romeo might work?

    Anyway have fun with it :-) I saw lawsons in person once and my god was it ghetto. Went well tho

    computer and wiring = $1500

    turbo = $85 + time

    Its a T25 turbo off of a SR20, my mates selling it to me. all the exhaust and stuff i can do myself with bits out the scrap bin at work. about the only other thing i would have to buy would be the fuel pressure regulator.

    i bought a drift car with a 4ac turbo setup. it basicly consited of the same setup was talking about, it had two SU stlye draw through carbys then a mainfold conecting them to what appears to be an old mitsubishi turbo. seemed to work quite well, only problem with it is 4ac's really arn't built for boost so you can expect to be changing engins quite regularly
